Now Aathar Card includes Date of Birth also - A new rule

Now It becomes mandatory to include full Date of birth in Aathar Cards.
The old rule of including only particular year is going to be cancelled soon.

Aathar cards are used for unique identification process which includes photo, fingerprints in Bio-Metric method. These Cards are distributed in Statewise category.

The new rule of including full date of Birth by eliminating particular birth year is due to non availability of various reforms announced by Govt to people who have only this card as identification purpose. Nowadays reforms and plans announced by Govt for the people are based on age and date of birth also.
For Eg: Pension plans.

If there is no date of birth mentioned Aathar cards, it becomes critical for those people who have only this card as identification purpose to benefit in reforms.
So Govt decided to include full date of birth rather than including only particular year.
